SOCIAL | TEAM BUILDING | AUCKLAND 

The Building Institute Aotearoa & Kalmar Construction Fishing Competition is back for 2026. It will be held on Friday 10 April at Gulf Harbour. (The original date was Thursday 12 March 2026, however due to adverse weather conditions this was postponed) 

Bring your mates, your bait and (importantly) your boat for a day on the water followed by prizegiving and a meal. 

Registrations are now open, numbers are limited so tickets will be sold on a first-in, first-served basis.

Prize Categories: Snapper, Kingfish, Trevally, John Dory, Kahawai, heaviest fish caught by a woman + spot prizes!

Date:    Friday 10 April 2026
Time:    6am - 5pm (weigh in 2:30pm-3:15pm followed by prizegiving)
Where: Gulf Harbour Yacht Club, 1299 Laurie Southwick Parade, Auckland 0930
Cost:  Members $85 + GST per person.  Non-members $95 + GST per person 

Note: The Institute wants you to have fun and stay safe for this water-based event.

• A communications point-of-contact for each boat will need to be nominated. 
• The Institute will be in touch with the comms contact for the names and contacts of all participants.
• The comms contact will also be the communicator for the health and safety guidelines, as well as any food allergies of participants.
• Skippers are required to understand the event rules and good practice boating to ensure the safety of all those on board.
