2026 Building People Awards Ceremony & Gala Dinner

The Building People Awards Ceremony & Gala Dinner will be a night to acknowledge and celebrate the practitioners behind New Zealand’s most successful building projects.

The awards evening will take place on Friday 14 August at New Zealand International Convention Centre, Tāmaki | Auckland.

Site Visit Thermosash

Friday 14th August 2026 at 1:00pm, Thermosash, 158 Central Park Drive, Henderson

Join David Hayes, Founder and Managing Director of Thermosash Commercial and Kent Nixon, Group Director – Strategy Products and Projects and Project Architect for Project Kereru, for an exclusive behind-the-scenes visit to Thermosash’s Henderson headquarters and advanced façade manufacturing facility.

The visit will begin with a presentation on the Thermosash business, its role in delivering high-performance façade systems across New Zealand, and the growing importance of prefabrication, sustainability and whole-of-life building performance. The highlight of the afternoon will be the story of Project Kereru – the remarkable conversion of a 27,000m² former furniture megastore into one of New Zealand’s most modern façade manufacturing and corporate facilities.

Central Region Golf Day 2026

The Building Institute Aotearoa Central Region Golf Day returns to Wellington for 2026!

Join us for a fantastic day of networking, fun, great food, and, of course, plenty of golf.

The day begins with a BBQ early lunch hosted by CARTERS, before players head out for 18 holes featuring entertaining challenges, refreshments, and activities at our sponsored holes along the course. After the round, unwind at the dinner and prizegiving as we celebrate the day's highlights and winners.
