The NZ Institute of Building Charitable Education Trust is very excited to announce Cody Everson - New Zealand Wheel Blacks as our guest speaker to this year's luncheon taking place on Friday 23 May 2025. 

Christchurch based, Cody Everson is a highly respected player for the New Zealand Wheel Blacks team (Wheelchair rugby).


This luncheon includes a two-course lunch, beverages and a Q & A session with Cody Everson for 10 guests per table. 

Proceeds will be going towards the Charitable Trust programme of awards and scholarships.

The Building Institute with support from Naylor Love invite industry professionals to tour the Cromwell Memorial Hall, Museum and Events Centre.

This 3,100m² community hub showcases diverse construction elements, including a 12.5-panel precast concrete auditorium built to IL3+ standards, steel and timber structures, and multiple façade systems such as curtain walling, local brickwork, aluminium cladding, and Sto render.

 

The guided tour features insights from lead designer Jasmax and the Central Otago District Council. Interior highlights include a leasable commercial kitchen, auditorium, café, cinema, civic spaces, and gym.

Set beside Lake Dunstan and Old Cromwell, this project is a future cornerstone for the Central Otago community.

Building Institute's Fishing Competition 2025

The Building Institute Aotearoa Fishing Competition is back for 2025. It will be held on Friday 6 June at Gulf Harbour.

Bring your mates, your bait and (importantly) your boat for a day on the water followed by prizegiving and a meal. 

Registrations are now open, numbers are limited so tickets will be sold on a first-in, first-served basis.

Prize Categories: Snapper, Kingfish, Trevally, John Dory, Kahawai, Women's + spot prizes!
