Description
The University of Auckland’s new Recreation and Wellness Centre.
One of the most complex and challenging projects undertaken by the University to date. Constructed in the heart of the city campus, this new facility will have 22,000m2 of sports halls, fitness studios, yoga studios, weights room, cardio room, spin room, boxing, indoor cricket nets, boulder wall, rooftop tennis, rooftop football, 1.5km running track, indoor pool, spa and diving boards. This strategic asset will benefit the health and wellbeing of the Universities 46,000 students and 6,000 staff for the next 50+ years and will result in improved academic performance and mental health, greater social engagement, and enhanced recruitment, retention and reputation.
There is a limit of 50 attendees for this event, so register early to avoid missing out. This event will fill quickly!
Date: Thursday 3 November 2022
Time: Registration from 5:30pm, followed by induction and site tour by Hawkins Construction from 6:00pm - 7:30pm. Drinks and nibbles available at conclusion

Cost: Free for NZ Institute of Building members; $20 + GST for Non-members
CPD: 3 credits
PPE Requirements: Long sleeves, long pants, PPE approved covered boots, high-vis vest, helmet and safety eyewear
