Join Building Institute Aotearoa for an exclusive site visit to the new Adult Acute Facility at Hillmorton Hospital in Christchurch.

The 9,850m² mental health facility is being delivered using predominantly timber construction, including Hyjoist floor cassettes, LVL roof trusses, pre-nail walls and shear walls across approximately two thirds of the building area.

Parking and meeting point:

Location is within the grounds of Hillmorton Hospital. Access to the site is via Sylvan Street off Lincoln Road. 

From Sylvan Street entry is through the Hillmorton Hospital campus road via Gate 4 (as seen below).

Please note when using the campus road network the posted speed limits are enforced by site security - please respect speed limits while on site.

After entering via Gate 4 follow the below map to the Naylor Love staff car park. 

Parking will be available in the Naylor Love car park. Once this car park is full the parking needs to be on Sylvan Street as there is no on campus parking permitted. 

From the Car Park take the footpath to the NL Site Entry turnstile where visitors will need to sign in to the site then gather at the meeting room prior to the site walk.

Cost: Member Free, non-member $50+gst.

CPD: 3 points.

PPE: High-vis vest, hard hat. safety glasses and safety boots.
