 WORKSHOP | CHRISTCHURCH & AUCKLAND | CPD: 10

Join our Building Legends in Christchurch and Auckland for a workshop on Insurance Fundamentals - this session will be hosted by Brigitte Knill who will be speaking with a range of insurance professionals and sharing stories. We will also look at what you can do on a day-to-day basis to protect your organisation. 

This event has been designed with Construction, Site, Project and Design Managers in mind.

 

What this session we’ll focus on:

• Contract works insurance is in place and adequate for the works as work continues on site
• What to do generally in case of a contract works insurance claim
• What to do as soon as an incident occurs to ensure best case outcome for a claim
• How to manage the claim process – outline / what happened / what we learnt
• Who is carrying which type of insurance
• Start with head/lead contractor experience, followed by sub-contractor
• Differences between owner operators and corporates
• Differences between Acts of God/Force Majeure and Faulty/defective equipment claim

Cost for Institute members is: $350 + GST

Cost for non-members is: $525 + GST (as part of your entry you will also receive Connect Membership for the remainder of the financial year)
