Join us for an exclusive site visit to Auckland's Māngere Wastewater Treatment Plant and gain a firsthand look at the systems and projects that support the treatment of wastewater for much of the region. This is a rare opportunity to access a working treatment facility and hear directly from those involved in delivering critical infrastructure upgrades that will support Auckland's future growth and resilience.

Māngere Wastewater Treatment Plant is New Zealand’s largest wastewater treatment facility, processing around 75% of Auckland’s wastewater and averaging 300,000 m³ per day. Significant investment is underway to renew ageing assets, improve resilience, and support future growth.

Currently, 23 projects are active across the site, including 13 in design and 10 in construction, focused on critical infrastructure upgrades. Treatment processes include primary and biological treatment, clarification, filtration, disinfection, sludge digestion, and biogas recovery.

The site visit offers a unique opportunity to see these systems in operation and gain insight into the scale, complexity, and ongoing transformation of this nationally significant asset.
